I have read book one and this one. I rated the first better,but did say the author was a little long winded. This book, while a good plot, was really written with to much unnecessary detail!! He could have said what he did in 1 page that took 3 to 4. I can't go for book 3. I just got to bored !!!Product details

If you're looking for a mind bending, original, plot, this is not it it. But it's solid and familiar and I'm enjoying the story line very much.
Very good book,explains in detail the life in the NW in the 1700's .Careful detailed description of the main Tribes and their way of life,costumes and religion.Also detailed description of the wilderness,and the survival relationship of the Indians with their environment ,highly recommended
Wonderful adventure with lots of battles and even romance. Think dances with Wolves on the plains with the crow Indians. Rich development of a story with culture, language, religion and wolves trained by humans. Think the horse whisperer on steroids. A fun trip, don't miss it.
Great read for native American fans.Helps understand the position of the shaman and the culture of the Crow Indians. Lots of real places here in the Big Horn Mountains such as the Medicine Wheel and the surrounding area.
Felt a little like I was reading about an Indian Dr Welby and Harry Potter combined. Doubt if the early Indians really knew as much about the human body as described. I think they believed in having visions but doubt if they could foretell the future.
Excellent book and series. This book really held my interest - in fact, the entire series holds my interest. No dull areas at all. I have a couple of books left to read in this series and wish there were more. Very well written.
